Job Description
The Lead Designer is responsible for leading and balancing multiple design and drafting projects. Serving as an industry specialist, this role will aid with scope, schedule and budget definition which will be integral to the overall success of our pipeline and related facilities!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Performs specialized drafting/designing assignments of an advanced nature
- Assists with the supervision of a unit of drafting/design personnel
- Recommends work methods, techniques and procedures
- Provides technical support, designs, and drawings for sophisticated projects
- Assumes responsibility for contribution to the success of a project and continued maintenance
- Prepares working plans, detail drawings and maps according to standards/specifications
- Communicates with our internal and external business partners to identify needs and satisfaction
- Verifies plans, designs, drawings, and maps conform to applicable codes/standards
- Advises project partners with scope, schedule and budget definition for new projects
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Associates degree in design or drafting technology and minimum fifteen (15) years drafting experience with ten (10) years focused on independent design assignments
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Broad level of industry codes, standards and practices
- Detailed knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD and AutoCAD-compatible software such as CADWorx Plant and CADWorx P&ID
