Job Description
6 Month Contract to Hire Employment

- Design, develop, and implement decision support solutions by becoming an internal expert on data structures, data transformation techniques, methods of analysis, and visualization pertaining to eCommerce and Marketing data.
- Develop and maintain critical KPIs to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of digital initiatives (e.g. traffic, conversion rates, customer acquisition, retention).
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various digital sources, including website analytics, social media platforms, advertising campaigns, and internal databases.
- Operate as an internal consultant and partner with business functions, including eCommerce team, Marketing, Pricing, and more.
- Partner with IT to ensure alignment on technical standards, calculation of KPIs and metrics, as well as the design and implementation of various business solutions.
Education and Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field. 3+ years of professional work experience required, preferably in an ecommerce or digital marketing role.
- Focus on Marketing Cloud
- Has experience and knows how to use it and how it works with Salesforce CRM.
- Understands Campaigns, can create new Journeys using Journey Builder
- Problem Solving and Business Leadership: The ability to relate complex technical problems back to a clear business objective is essential. Candidates should have strong communication skills that allow them to synthesize large amounts of information, identify key takeaways, and communicate them to the target audience. They should be comfortable discussing their results with both a field sales representative and the CEO.
- Data Analysis and Business Intelligence: Candidates must be capable of problem-solving using various analytical methodologies and understand the differences (e.g. market basket analysis, promotional campaign analysis, competitor/market analysis). Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and display advertising is required. Familiarity with A/B testing, user testing, and optimization techniques is preferred.
- The individual will be part of an analytics team with a diverse skill set, so gaps in knowledge are acceptable if the candidate has at minimum a comprehension of eCommerce and marketing analytics.
- Analysis Tools and Model Building: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required for ad-hoc analytics.
- Experience and knowledge of at least one major data visualization or reporting tool (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, SSRS) is required.
- Proficiency required in a database or transformation tool such as SQL/ SSIS/ SSAS, Azure, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
