Operating in a hands-on, player-coach capacity, you'll focus on reducing friction, building cross-functional alignment, and guiding teams toward outcome-driven decisions. This isn't a traditional QA leadership position—it's about enabling teams to operate confidently amidst ambiguity, making risk-based decisions, and focusing on real business outcomes rather than just test artifacts or coverage metrics.
Key aspects of this role include: fostering a delivery confidence mindset, prioritizing dynamic scenario-based validation, and collaborating seamlessly across teams to drive clarity and organizational trust. Your leadership will revolve around orchestrating evidence and risk reduction, rather than relying heavily on rigid processes or governance.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, validation, delivery assurance, or related roles, with a focus on outcome and trust-based validation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Deep understanding of QA practices—manual testing, exploratory validation, test automation—focused on real-world business outcomes
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, making informed risk-based decisions with incomplete information
- Proven success in outcome-oriented leadership and cross-functional influence without escalation
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills aligned with delivering confidence and clarity
- Excellent communication skills for conveying risk and readiness to diverse stakeholders
- Adaptability and quick learning to grasp new domains and drive strategic validation approaches
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with scenario-based testing frameworks focusing on business workflows
- Knowledge of security, performance, and operational resilience validation methods
- Background in orchestrating validation processes across complex, evolving environments
- Familiarity with modern delivery and agile practices emphasizing outcome over process
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Extensive leadership experience in QA or validation roles with emphasis on risk reduction and trust-building within organizations
