Audio Visual Technician This role requires 30% of travel.

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a knowledgeable, meticulous audio-visual technician to join our team. The audio-visual technician is responsible for the setup, operation of audio-visual equipment and technology for all conference rooms. The audio-visual teach role requires excellent customer service skills, an understanding of audio-visual systems, and the ability to troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties as assigned.
  • Set up and install audio-visual equipment.
  • Complete wiring of HDMI, Network Cables, and basic construction
  • Conduct daily quality control analysis of all conference rooms.
  • Supporting end users with technical needs in utilizing conference rooms
  • Being a technical trainer for conference technology
  • Primary liaison with third-party audio-visual vendor(s)
  • In-room documentation / support material creation and upkeep
  • Recommending audio-visual solution improvements and vetting new hardware/software offerings
  • Key meeting in-room support (e.g., board meetings, companywide presentations)
  • Respond to internal and external requests in a timely and accurate manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
 
  • Existing conference room and audio-visual technology experience.
  • Experience in multi-solution in-room, wireless, and BYOD meeting support preferred.
  • Working with various computer technology. MAC and PC Operating System.
  • Comfortable supporting executive level staff in key meeting situations.
  • Excellent training skills, both in person and in producing audio-visual support documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Goal-orientated, pro-active, initiative-taking individual.
  • Demonstrate ability to solve problems.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality.
  • Experience in a Help Desk or Service Desk environment highly desirable.
  • Must have schedule flexibility to work late evenings and weekends as the business requires.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma, associates, or bachelor’s degree in audio visual technology preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting conference rooms and other audio-visual technology.
  • Teams Room experience highly preferred
  • Poly technology experience highly preferred
  • Experience running and supporting various audio-visual cables.
Physical Demands:
 
  • Extended periods of time spent sitting or standing while working with audio-visual equipment.
  • The ability to lift 100+ pounds.
  • The ability to work through stressful situations.
  • This role requires 30% of travel.
