We're seeking a detail-oriented Commissions Specialist to support commission processing, reconciliation, and partner communications. If you have strong Excel skills, enjoy working with financial data, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Retrieve commission statements from carrier portals.
- Prepare commission files and calculate commission override and bonus payments.
- Reconcile commission statements with the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
- Research and resolve commission-related inquiries from agents and business partners.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of payments.
- Collaborate with Accounting and internal teams to resolve reporting issues.
- Manage shared team inboxes and provide excellent customer support.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in commissions, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables), Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the financial services, insurance, or annuity industry.
- Experience reconciling financial data and working with commission statements.
- Familiarity with commission calculations, bonus processing, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Location: Urbandale, IA
- Duration: 6-Month Contract
- Experience: 3–5 Years
