Our Dallas based Financial Services client is searching for a corporate controller, who will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial functions for several affiliated companies including two broker dealers. Their duties include overseeing the recording and reporting transactions, consolidation work, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as SEC and FINRA rules, preparing financial statements, managing internal financials controls, coordinating audits, and liaising with regulators and external auditors to ensure adherence to industry standards. This role will also be responsible for managing a team and will need to be able to communicate and work with various areas across the organization. They also play a role in monitoring risk exposure, managing capital adequacy, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities
- Coordinating and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Manage the closing process for multiple companies including two registered broker dealers.
- Maintains and enhances the policies, procedures, and controls within the finance department.
- Collaborate across multiple departments in the organization.
- Oversee accounting and FP&A staff.
- Develop and manage FP&A for the company.
- Responsible for accounts payable and receivables
- Assist on various financial and regulatory audits.
- Work with Head of Finance to maintain and establish financial controls.
- Supervision and development of accounting staff
- Manage the company-wide consolidation close process.
- Prepare or develop technical accounting memos documenting accounting treatment, processes, and procedures.
- Contribute to various back office and system implementation projects across the organization.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or similar
- CMA, CPA a plus
- Series 27 or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Broker deal experience with a minimum of 3 years relative professional experience.
- Experience with ERP environment
