Data Engineer  
Key Qualifications
  • · Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (v2), Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • · Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and data modeling using Power BI.
  • · Experience with Python and Apache Spark.
  • · Proven track record of working in an Agile environment.
  • · Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor others within the organization.
  • · Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead others in resolving complex issues.
  • · Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • · Must be able to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills
  • · Familiarity with SSAS Multi-Dimensional Cubes.
  • · Experience in maintaining and developing SSRS reports.
  • · Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.
  • · Demonstrated ability to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • · Experience working in a regulatory compliance environment (HIPAA, PCI, SOX, etc.).
  • · Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Ideal Candidate

· An experienced Data Engineer, preferably with experience in the insurance industry, retirement plan providers, or financial services companies.

Your Role
  • · Develop data pipelines to ingest data from multiple disparate sources into our data lake.
  • · Assist in the conversion of legacy Multi-Dimensional Cubes to modern Power BI tabular models.
  • · Create CI/CD pipelines that incorporate automated testing for all build and deployments.
  • · Refactor MDX-based SSRS reports into SQL queries to aid in the deprecation of Multi-Dimensional Cubes.
