About the Role
We are looking for a Fundamental Modeling Analyst to join a high-performing analytics team supporting trading and commercial decision-making. This role sits at the intersection of data science, quantitative modeling, and trading analytics, where you will build models that directly influence business outcomes.
You will work closely with analysts, strategists, and traders to develop scalable solutions and generate actionable insights in a fast-paced, data-rich environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement machine learning and statistical models to support trading strategies
· Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover actionable insights
· Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical tools using Python
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into quantitative solutions
· Improve and optimize existing models for performance and scalability
· Present findings and model outputs in a clear, business-relevant manner
· Contribute to the development of innovative analytical methodologies
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or quantitative discipline
· 3–5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning and statistical modeling
· Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using:
· pandas
· numpy
· scikit-learn
· Experience working with large, complex datasets
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and think creatively to solve complex problems
· Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience or knowledge of energy, commodities, or financial markets
· Understanding of supply and demand dynamics and market fundamentals
· Experience working in a trading or fast-paced commercial environment
· Familiarity with time-series analysis and forecasting techniques
