Groups and Events Sales Executive  

Our Dallas based client is seeking a driven and experienced Groups and Events Sales Executive to join their innovative and financially stable corporate travel company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling high-end group travel solutions and event packages to medium and large-sized companies in a competitive market. You must be a self-starter with excellent hunting and closing skills, capable of overcoming challenges, and working independently. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide array of clients, including specialized incentive groups and large conferences requiring customized travel solutions for 100 to 10,000 rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Group Travel Solutions & Event Planning:
    • Develop, promote, and sell comprehensive group travel packages, including event planning, logistics, and execution.
    • Create tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of clients, ranging from corporate conferences to specialized incentive groups.
    • Manage events and conferences of various sizes, ensuring seamless execution and high client satisfaction.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Engage with travel planners and agents, providing expertise and support to facilitate bookings and event coordination.
    • Act as the primary contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met throughout the sales process.
    • Work closely with the VP of Sales and other internal teams to close deals and deliver exceptional service.
  • Sales & Revenue Generation:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the group travel and events sector, focusing on corporate clients with significant travel volume.
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets by leveraging existing networks and developing new client relationships.
    • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and progress toward meeting quotas.
  • Market Development:
    • Leverage and expand existing partner channels to grow the business.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and developments, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and appealing.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of three to five years of sales experience in the travel industry or a related service industry.
  • Proven success in selling high-end conceptual solutions and products.
  • Experience in managing and growing client accounts, with a track record of closing significant deals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to manage sales activity independently and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and be self-motivated.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify client needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with influencers and decision-makers across various levels.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce.com), Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform disciplined cold calling, internet research, and use various sales tools to identify and qualify potential clients.
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to retain information and understand client needs.
