Our Dallas based travel industry client is seeking a professional who will be responsible for participating in the company’s efforts in managing their enterprise technology in cloud networking and security.  
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Define, manage, implement, and document operational processes and procedures, with periodic review for efficiency, productivity, and improvement.
  • Manage our network and security framework covering infrastructure, applications and processes.
    • Includes strategic controls and vulnerability management, using tools like Tenable.io and Veracode.
    • Productivity evaluation using tools like ActivTrak.
    • Network productivity using tools like New Relic and the AWS suite.
    • Manage employee network and security training using tools like Knowbe4.
  • Manage a DevSecOps team of geographically dispersed talented team members.
    • Responsible for performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and talent management.
    • Oversee internal and external helpdesk and MSP.
    • Manage relationship with cloud hosting facilities.
  • Negotiation skills are important.
    • Assist with vendor contract negotiations to include but not limited to software, telecom / internet.
    • License, agreement negotiations and renewal management.
  • Analytical Initiative is critical to success.
    • Identify a technical issue and pursuing through SMEs to conclusion and lessons learned.
    • Lead and document annual testing of DR and IR plans.
  • Project planning structured approach is an important skill.
    • Domain management knowledge
    • Active Directory management
    • Office 365 administration oversight
    • Conducting and updating GAP analysis on security and privacy is a growing responsibility.
  • Security is an important skill.
    • DMARC; DKIM and a good understanding of email security.
    • Applying and managing certificates is a responsibility.
    • Updating and reviewing IS policies with VP of Governance.
    • Some exposure to risk management would be a plus.
    • Working with VP of Governance on SOC 2 and PCI is a critical aspect of the role

Job Requirements
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in management and analytical skills with configuring and troubleshooting networks, security, and technology productivity. 
  • Successful experience working in small, rapidly growing enterprises as well large corporations.
  • Strong knowledge, and hands-on experience managing and establishing high volume transactional environments supported by large scale databases (SQL).
  • Must be an energetic hands-on leader with a can-do attitude. 
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect, deploy and manage supporting infrastructure – monitoring, alerting, auditing, reporting and analytics.
  • Some exposure to general software design, development, analysis and debugging skills.
  • Understanding of architectures used to scale Internet applications.
  • Must be able to demonstrate very strong analytical capabilities.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high growth environment with minimal supervision.
  • A cost conscious, proactive leader who can maximize the resources of a high growth enterprise.
  • Passion to excel and enjoys working with creative entrepreneurs.
  • Must be a team player willing to help where needed to support the development / design team.
  • Must be detail oriented and very meticulous.
  • Ethical, fair and of high integrity.
  • Travel technology industry experience highly preferred.
