Job Description
Role: Senior Accountant
Location: Houston, TX – Onsite, Contract to Hire
Responsibilities:
- You will handle day-to-day accounting work for the company.
- You’ll use company systems and follow their rules and processes to do your job.
- You’ll prepare reports and analyze financial data using spreadsheets (like Excel).
- You’ll create and record journal entries for different financial transactions.
- You’ll check financial records to make sure everything is correct and on time.
- If there are any accounting issues or errors, you’ll investigate and fix them.
- You’ll help prepare financial reports and explain any differences (like why numbers changed).
- You may work with different teams and help on projects.
What you need:
- At least 3 years of accounting experience
- A degree in accounting, business, or similar field
- Knowledge of accounting rules (like US GAAP)
