Job Description
- Role: Sr Electrical Engineer
- Employment Type: Direct hire / Full-time
- Initial Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite)
- Future Relocation: After ~2 years, relocation to Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX is required - Relocation support will be provided.
Overview:
The role focuses on leading the design, optimization, and implementation of electrical systems for critical energy infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. It emphasizes safety, innovation, and integration of advanced technologies (automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage). The position includes significant project leadership, regulatory compliance, and mentoring responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage electrical power distribution systems
- Implement safety measures (arc flash mitigation, fault detection)
- Lead engineering projects end-to-end (concept to completion)
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, and environmental standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers
- Support commissioning, testing, and startup (preferred)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Experience:
- Senior level: 8+ years (with PE if Engineering Technology degree)
- Engineer III: 4+ years
- Preferred: PE License, Master’s degree
- Experience with tools like ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, or Simulink
- Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, grid integration, renewables, PLCs, and project management (preferred)

- Travel up to 50% required
