Planner/Scheduler I NO REMOTE ONLY ONSITE


Basic Function:

As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of crude oil transportation trucks, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing routes and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. You will collaborate closely with drivers, logistics teams, and external stakeholders to streamline operations and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently plan and coordinate daily schedules for crude oil transportation trucks, considering factors such as demand, driver availability, and safety regulations.
  • Analyze delivery requirements and road conditions to develop optimal routes, minimizing travel time and costs.
  • Maintain regular communication with drivers and stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues or delays.
  • Utilize tracking systems to monitor truck progress and address any operational disruptions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and assist in resolving any logistical challenges that may arise.

Experience:
  • Minimum one year of office environment experience required.
  • Preferred experience includes one year of trucking dispatching or scheduling.

Educational Level:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or supply chain management preferred.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.

Work Conditions:
  • Office-based with occasional travel required.
  • Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
  • May require on-call scheduling.

Physical Requirements:
  • Job conditions may require sitting, standing, walking, and other physical activities.

  • Actively participate in safety and environmental initiatives.
