You will work to enforce architectural principles across teams while working with key team members to align on vision, direction and compliance. As a Software Development Architect, you will help to set, drive, document and communicate the technical direction Cobalt’s architecture and technology direction. You will work to enforce architectural principles across teams while working with key team members to align on vision, direction and compliance. Your work will impact the business as a whole by building elite technology that enables us to transform the legal immigration industry!
Responsibilities
- Developing the architectural guidelines, specifications, and technical standards, including coding standards, tools, services and platforms related to current and future technological environments
- Communicating the design of the software architecture to stakeholders and technical team members
- Documenting current and future state of environment and software
- Analyzing, locating and directing solutions for critical challenges involving software and/or hardware integrations
- Performing complex software process definition, requirements analysis, and high-level design/modeling to convert stakeholder needs into software solutions
- Designing and specifying the overall software structure, core elements, and properties by understanding the software requirements, constraints, interfaces, and dependencies
- Developing a good working relationship with other architects, management, stakeholders, Cloud Ops engineers, development teams and support staff.
Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, technical leadership or architecture.
- Tech Skills: C#, .Net/Core, React, AWS/Cloud, SQL, Postgres, Microservices- create APIs
- Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
- Broad understanding of coding practices, programming languages, design patterns and architectural styles.
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation.
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment and learn new concepts and software.
- Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented and responsible team player.
- Ability to recognize areas for skill uplift and coach technical staff to align with vision.
- Experience working with teams following the Agile methodology.
- Professionalism and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including attention to detail and problem-solving.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
