Job Description
Direct Hire - Onsite in Dallas
Supervises assigned accounts department as well as conducts monthly and annual accounting assignments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
A minimum of five years of on-the-job experience and one year supervisory or lead experience is required.
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance, is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ability to perform complex accounting analysis and mathematical calculations. The ability to communicate effective with others, both written and verbal communication. Good reading and writing skills. The ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations and formulas. Working knowledge of Microsoft products especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. A broad understanding of accounting practices and procedures pertaining to GAAP. Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley. Ability to lead and direct the work of other associates. A significant amount of experience in finance is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications. Experience working with an accounting system.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with SAP FI/CO, BI Reporting, Budgeting, accounting and maintenance software are preferred. Industry experience preferred.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises of the day to day responsibilities of up to 10 nonexempt and exempt employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages daily operations within the department including supervision of staff on all tasks and projects
- Manages and participates in the duties related to the monthly financial reporting close process
- Reviews the consolidated inter-company account balances and along with the general ledger accounting team, prepare any needed elimination entries.
- Records and manages top-side entries
- Supports the SEC reporting team for quarterly and annual report preparation and ensure accuracy of financial information
- Supports FICO master data governance across the HFC landscape (Red Box, Blue Box and BPC – Consolidations and Planning)
- Coordinates with Tax team on tax entries
- Manages daily and period FX rate processes
- Supervises and creates segment reporting, schedules and disclosures
- Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and develop/refine GL accounting processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements
- Maintains integrity of global account balances in connection with Management & SEC reporting reviews
- Assists in quarterly and annual audits
- Participates as a key stakeholder in activities such as changes to the global chart of accounts, sets of books, entity reporting hierarchies, consolidation mappings and other processes/controls
- Interacts with IT department regarding challenges, issues and drive system solution.
- Participates as a key stakeholder in acquisition integration from master data set up through reporting consolidated financials
- Performs ad-hoc management related requests and analysis
- Assists manager in special projects as required
- Develops departmental goals including training requirements
- Follows employee’s progress toward established goals
- Counsels employees as required
- Develops and communicates employee performance appraisals
