Systems Administrator
Description:
This position is for a self-motivated, dynamic individual interested in working in an exciting, fast paced growth company.
This position offers the prospective candidate tremendous variety in terms of technological experience and growth opportunities.
Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment and possess strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with outside vendors and internal staff.
Support of information technology systems including but not limited to the following (Desktop Operating Systems, Network connectivity, Security controls, Active Directory, SCCM etc.):
• Provide the highest level of support (Tier 3 Level) for endpoints – 4500+ device environment
• Endpoint security remediations
• Device encryption (BitLocker)
• Anti-Virus protection and Virtual Private Network (VPN) (Fortinet)
• Software and Windows patching
• Absolute and Carbon Black Sensor
• Group Policy management
• Experience maintaining and support Windows OS environments
• Maintain and document problem and change tickets (ServiceNow)
• Maintain device inventory and ensure up to date records
• Absolute

• Experience with Active Directory Management (OU Creation & Group/Device Management)
• Provide onsite/remote support to endpoints as needed (Bomgar)

• Work with outside vendors to document, remediate, and support endpoints and customers
• Must possess strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with outside vendors and internal staff.
• Detail- and deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast pace, and constantly changing, environment
• Identifying and preparing hardware for safe disposal including ensuring hardware is secured and stripped before disposal.
• Ability to identify and make recommendations for endpoint management to improve OS hardening and security
• Experience with Group Policy Management (Creating, Applying, and troubleshooting)
Desired Skills
• Create and maintain Lab for testing VM/PC images, Hardware, and Applications
• Coordinate Software/Hardware testing and certification
• Windows PC management and application deployments with SCCM/MECM
• File integrity monitoring
• Endpoint AV/Malware clients
• Documentation (KB articles) as needed
• Knowledge of endpoint management systems (SCCM/MECM/Altiris preferred)
• Ability to train existing support staff and provide guidance
• Documentation of processes, procedures, network diagrams, business continuity
• Understands Endpoint Security and Management tools
• Ability to generate endpoint/software reports as needed
• Ability to work with confidential information
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of Corporate IT / Network Support with solid technical troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication/documentation skills; ATTENTION TO DETAIL
• A can-do attitude and ability and willingness to jump into the trenches
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and VMWare products required
• Knowledge of technologies such as Altiris, Microsoft SCCM, MDT, and others.
• Basic networking skills are mandatory.
• Dedication to providing courteous, efficient, and accurate resolution for all support issues is a must.
• Demonstrated experience supporting workstations, Windows servers and other IT infrastructure in a mission critical enterprise environment
• Knowledge of change management
• This role requires full COVID-19 vaccination
License/Certification:
• Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage
